About Us: The Legal and Compliance (L&C) COO Technology Team delivers process and technology innovation and transformation to drive operational scale for the Legal and Compliance department and implements solutions that reduce regulatory and reputational risks for BlackRock.
The team provides business analysis, project management, business process reengineering, solution design, and change management for L&C’s large and complex technology projects.
Role Description:
The Robotic Process Automation (RPA) / Business Analyst Associate is responsible for leading the full SDLC to implement automated solutions for L&C, including working with stakeholders across L&C to identify opportunities for RPA solutions, documenting requirements, designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions using industry standard RPA tools. The role utilizes technology and analytical tools to enhance processes and create scale. It partners with various BlackRock’s technology and software development teams as well as 3rd-party providers to deliver business process improvement.
Position Overview:
The candidate will work closely with stakeholders across L&C and internal engineering teams to understand business processes and translate them into automated solutions. They will drive full lifecycle initiatives and help manage/maintain the existing RPA base in accordance with the standard software development lifecycle (SDLC). The candidate should be aware of current and emerging industry standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities: We are looking for an RPA / business analyst who can independently implement complex RPA solutions and demonstrate ownership of outcomes. You should be adept at driving progress and managing stakeholders effectively.
- Provide business analysis and detailed requirements capture
- Ensure project documentation meets the standard outlined by the team’s governance framework
- Design, develop, and test RPA solutions using industry-leading RPA tools.
- Maintain and support existing RPA solutions, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to RPA processes.
- Document RPA processes and provide training to end-users.
- Continuously monitor and optimize RPA solutions to improve performance and efficiency.
- Manage the day-to-day project deliverables including providing project status updates to stakeholders
- Actively identify gaps that pose a risk to project success.
- Provide technological support to Legal & Compliance on key applications that are vital to daily operations of the department
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry
- Understanding of Legal and Compliance processes
- Experience with RPA tools such as UiPath, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across large data sets
- Attention to detail, data analysis and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work well in a team-based environment while at the same time being able to work independently and autonomously.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a “can do” attitude and an ability to use own initiative
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize across multiple projects and assignments; must be able to deliver and meet timelines in a fast-paced global project environment.
- Preferred experience with Excel VBA, SQL, Unqork, Archer, Aladdin data tables and Port Groups
- Student of technology that stays abreast of new and emerging tools that have the potential to positively transform processes
