Director – Product Management, Product Knowledge
Build the Data-Powered, AI-Driven Future of Product Discovery

About the Role
We’re on a mission to redefine how people discover, explore, and connect with products online—and we need a visionary product leader to take us there.

As Director of Product Management, you’ll lead the strategy and execution for our Product Knowledge and Catalog Platform—the intelligence layer that powers everything from search and recommendations to personalization and generative AI. You’ll shape how structured data, AI/ML, and LLMs come together to build scalable, magical, and deeply relevant customer experiences at massive scale.

You’ll work at the heart of a high-performing, cross-functional team—collaborating with AI researchers, data scientists, and engineers to build the foundational data products that power discovery for millions of users.

This is a rare opportunity to lead in a high-agency, startup-style environment with the resources and reach of a global platform.

What You’ll Own

  • Catalog Intelligence at Scale
Lead the development of robust, intelligent, and flexible catalog systems. Create automated, scalable ways to structure, enrich, and normalize product data across categories and geographies.

  • Vision for Product Knowledge
Define and own the product vision for taxonomy, ontology, metadata, and knowledge graphs that power our search and AI platforms.

  • Build Magical Data Products
Launch internal tools and APIs that feel like magic—powerful, intuitive, and built with scale and automation in mind. Make structured data work harder and smarter across all surfaces.

  • Power Discovery Through AI & LLMs
Partner with AI and data science teams to use LLMs, embeddings, and prompt engineering for entity resolution, classification, and content enrichment—fueling delightful discovery.

  • Design for Relevance & Impact
Focus relentlessly on customer experience—ensuring your products make search more relevant, recommendations smarter, and exploration more intuitive.

  • Drive Product Excellence
Define metrics, establish feedback loops, and iterate quickly. Marry technical depth with customer empathy to shape products that solve real problems beautifully.

  • Collaborate to Deliver
Partner across Product, Engineering, AI/ML, Trust, and Catalog Ops to launch products that are both deeply technical and profoundly user-centered.

What We’re Looking For

  • 12+ years of product management experience, with 5+ years leading teams in platform, data, or AI-driven environments

  • Proven track record building structured data platforms, knowledge systems, or eCommerce catalog infrastructure

  • Strong understanding of taxonomy, metadata strategy, and product classification

  • Experience working with AI/ML teams, including familiarity with LLMs and semantic search (a plus)

  • A bias for scalable solutions—you know how to build for today and architect for tomorrow

  • Obsession with relevance, automation, and magic—you craft products that delight both internal and external users

  • Strong communicator with a track record of cross-functional leadership and influence

  • Comfort working in fast-paced, iterative environments—you thrive in ambiguity and move with urgency

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Build the backbone of product discovery for one of the world’s largest eCommerce platforms

  • Lead a portfolio that touches AI, structured data, and real-time customer experience

  • Create scalable systems that drive magical user experiences at global scale

  • Work with world-class teams in AI/ML, data science, and engineering

  • Enjoy high ownership, fast execution, and a culture that values bold ideas and real impact
